A Polka Dot Themed Party

For my daughter's 1st birthday party I once again turned to Martha Stewart for inspiration. I wasn't ready for a character themed party. At one, she was still a baby and I wanted to keep it sweet and simple. Martha's got a great article on planning a Polka Dot Party. I combined that with a simple color theme, choosing light & bright pinks to be layered throughout the party.

We threw a simple backyard birthday party & it was a great success. My best advice to give about 1st birthday parties is to keep it simple and plan around nap times! No one likes a fussy baby at cake time!

New baby shower invitations
